At Reserva Alecrim we promote authenticity and the most unique that the Alentejo has to offer.
Our Mission
We believe that the sustainability of our activity is related to our commitment to environmental preservation and the development of the local community.
We assume a vision for a sustainable future, based on three pillars, environmental protection, human development and development of the local economy.
Human development: We have, and are constantly looking to, establish partnerships with locals, from associations to producers. We seek to develop a culture of human development with our employees, being close to them in the face of all challenges, fostering a culture of happiness at work, aiming at satisfaction, working conditions and a balanced life.
Environmental protection: We assume our responsibility towards future generations. We intend to operate with the awareness that what we do has to be done in order to reduce environmental impact. We identify all species of fauna and flora and study the conscious ways of cohabiting with them, building sustainable accommodation that respects the existing landscape. We reduce the use of chemical products in order to protect them. Our biological pool is completely chemical-free, and its maintenance is 100% natural.
Development of the local economy: Being inserted in the beautiful Alentejo coast, we seek to be a vehicle for the preservation, dissemination and growth of customs, values and traditions of the Alentejo culture.
To this end, we seek to establish partnerships and pioneering projects with the local community, integrating the identity of each of them in the tourist products and services we offer. We are constantly promoting our neighbors' projects and/or the most authentic experiences they can offer. We also favor the local economy by purchasing quality products manufactured or cultivated in the vicinity of the Alecrim Reserve.
